Scotland The Lumineers

With their earworm and breakthrough hit "Ho Hey" in 2012 The Lumineers earned a lot of attention which was well deserved. I still listen to some songs of them regularly including "Stubborn Love" as it's a fantastic band full of talent.

Some weeks ago they've released a new EP called "C-Sides" which contains three tracks. One track called "Scotland" is very impressive as it's the theme song of the American television series Reign. I haven't seen Reign, but that's not necessary to feel the emotions of the song.

Wesley Schultz of the band said following about the song: “The song also was special to us because it had this beautiful driving rhythm that Jer played that reminded us of battle drums, like something out of Braveheart – hence the strange name – Scotland.”.

Press play to listen to "Scotland" here and don't forget to listen to the other songs of the EP as well!
